“Charles: In His Own Words” Premieres April 28

“I always appreciate when a film or show actually acknowledges the media’s role in this family’s life, and this version of his story does try to peel off from past versions to depict him as a savvy, fully-fleshed out person who loathes the drama he’s unable to escape.” -Liz Kocan, Decider

Our new documentary “Charles: In His Own Words” goes back to the beginning, revealing the formative events that influenced the man, prince and now king. This unique portrait of a monarch sifts through a treasure trove of rare, unheard and never-before-seen archival material to tell the definitive and surprising story of the “rebel prince” through his own words and those who’ve known him best.

Touching on his spirited forays into amateur acting, his dedicated role as a single father, and his role as a vocal advocate for environmental causes, “Charles: In His Own Words” offers an intimate journey into the life of a king.

“Charles: In His Own Words” premieres  April 28, 2023, on the National Geographic Channel.
